The Harry Potter Christmas Tag

Who doesn’t love a Harry Potter/ Christmas themed tag?
I saw this on for books sake and was originally created by Charleigh Writes. It looks super fun so I decided to do it.

The Rules:
1 – Link back to the creator

2 – You can’t choose any Harry Potter book for any of your answers

3 – Tag however many people you wish

4 – Have fun!

It’s your first Christmas at Hogwarts. What’s one book you’ve asked for this year?

I’ve actually asked for a series... The Great Library series by Rachel Caine. This series looks amazing and I can’t wait to start reading it!

You spot Hagrid hauling the Christmas tree through the grounds. What is the longest (or heaviest) book you own?

War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy. I haven’t read it yet though, I think the size intimidates me!

It’s time for the famous Great Hall feast. What’s one book you can’t read without snacks?

I don’t really eat snacks when I’m reading. I get so engrossed in books that I forget to eat.

Well done, you’ve brewed your first Polyjuice Potion. What’s one book you’d change the cover of?

I thought we should never judge a book by its cover? That’s a lie, we ALL do. The book cover for The Rats by James Herbert is plain when it should be scary and it doesn’t really do the book justice.

You receive a brand new Firebolt for Christmas. What’s one book you read super quickly?

Fierce Fragile Hearts by Sara Barnard. I loved this book so much I read it in 2 days. (full review here)

You join Harry for his first proper Christmas. What’s one book you’d love to receive this year?

Tarnished are the stars by Rosiee Thor.

You get hit by one of Fred and George’s flying snowballs. What’s a book you wanted to throw across the room?

The End of the Ocean by Maja Lunde was so boring to me! It took me so long to get through it and I felt like I wasted a lot of time reading it.

You’ve just visited Hogsmeade for the first time. What’s one popular book you haven’t read yet?

The Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas. The first one has been sitting on my shelf for years and I just haven’t picked it up yet but I always see a lot of hype surrounding her books.

Congratulations, you’ve been invited to the Yule Ball. What book about Christmas do you love?

I’m not really a fan of reading books about Christmas, I prefer to watch Christmas films but I do love A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens.

You find Ron’s deluminator. What’s one book that’s helped you through some dark times?

I don’t have a specific book for this, just any book that can take my mind off reality for a few hours and has an uplifting ending.

  1. What a fun post! I'll admit I've seen the movies, but never read the books. I'm a little rusty on Harry Potter. I need to change that next year!

    1. I've heard so many great things about it but it's not my usual genre so I'm a bit wary of reading it. Maybe I will give it a go this year!
